Triple T Bison is a family-run bison ranch in Hamilton, Montana’s Bitterroot Valley. Ken Treadwell and his sons, Kenny and Robby, raise the herd on land their family has worked for three decades.

One ordinary drive.
Hamilton to Missoula, north on Highway 93 through the Bitterroot Valley. A trip the family had made a hundred times.
A herd by the highway.
Along the way, the Bitterroot Bison herd grazing beside the road caught Kenny and Robby's eye.
And a simple sign.
A little curiosity, a call to Troy Westre of Bitterroot Bison in the winter of 2023, and a new chapter for the Treadwells.

Every herd starts somewhere. Ours started with two dozen animals from Bitterroot Bison, just up the road.
